AMOUNT OP $l1,537.0O, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED $25 M7.00, FOR THE FENCING OF SIX
(6) TENNIS COURTS AT TWO CITY PARRS FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION;
ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT NO. 313318
ENTITLED "CITYWIDE COURT RENOVATIONS"
ACCOUNT CODE NO, 589301-860; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF
PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS
FOR THIS SERVICE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received July 9, 1990 for the fencing of six (6) tennis courts
for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-five (25)
potential suppliers and six (6) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this service are available from the
Capital Improvement Program, Project No. 313318 entitled
"Citywide Court Renovations", Account No. 589301-860; and
WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of
Parks and Recreation for the purpose of fencing four (4) tennis
courts at Shenandoah Park and two (2) tennis courts at Peacock
Park as part of the Citywide Neighborhood Parks Renovation
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Parks and
Recreation recommend that the bids received from Fence
Connection, Inc. and D.E. Gidi and Associates, Inc. be accepted
as the lowest responsible and responsive bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.

the amount of $11,.537.00 p - for a total amount not to exceed

Cityparks for the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby
accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Capital
Improvement Program, Project No. 313318, entitled "CityWide.Gourta
Renovations" Account No. 589301-860.
Section 3. The City Manager -is hereby authorized to
instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue purchase orders'
