A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 2 OF RESOLUTION NO, 89-288t ADOPTED MARCH 23, 1989, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ERECTION OF A PREFABRICATED GUARDHOUSE STRUCTURE TO BE LOCATED IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -SWAY AT THE NORTHEAST END OF THE BELLE MEADE ISLAND BRIDGE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 89-288 i March 23, 1989, which provided for a guardhouse and the -eation of a special taxing district on Belle Meade Island in :cordance with the Dade County Code; and WHEREAS, said Resolution was amended by the City Commission Resolution No. 89-827 on September 14, 1989 to include a guard ►te; and WHEREAS, a Special Election was held by Dade County on ine, 26, 1990, for the registered electors of said Island to vote �r or against the creation of a special taxing district; and WHEREAS, a majority of the registered electors voted in Ivor of a Belle Meade Island Security Guard Special Taxing .strict; and WHEREAS, the Dade County Building and Zoning Department, .oduct Control Section, has approved a prefabricated guardhouse :ructure to be located in the public right-of-way in said Lstrict; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 89-288 must be further amended to .low for a prefabricated structure; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the :eamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference iereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this action. -I- t } Section 2 of Resolution No. 89-288, adopted X&rah 23 ,1989, is hereby amended in the following particularat "Section 2. The creation of a special twin district on Belle Meade Island, located in the City o Miami, Florida, in accordance with Chapter 18 of the Metropolitan Dade County Code, to provide security service is hereby approved, said service to include the construction and maintenance of a guard gate and a sT prefabricated guardhouse structure. at no cost to the City, within the public s right-of-way at the northeast end of the Belle Meade Island Bridge, to be located in the swale area and not in the roadway portion of the right-of-way."
