section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the

P.M. on Monday, January 21, 1991:

Northwest Sixty-second Street from Northwest Eighth
....Avenue to Northwest Seventh Avenue.
Northwest Eighth Avenue from Sixty-first Street to
Sixty-fourth Street.
_-inciuAed in the herein closure are all streets,

intersect the enumerated areas delineated in this
Section.
Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State
approval and the issuance of permits by the Departments of
P olice and' Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit
from the Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval
of the Chief of Police after to t giving all due consideration he

safety and traffic needs of residents, businesses, and religious
institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said
arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's
judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein,

Dear Mr. 0diot
I am requesting a personal appearance before the City
Commission on September 7, 1990.
The Martin Luther King Parade will be held January 21, 1991.
We are requesting the following:
Street closures (Northwest 62 Street from Northwest 8th -
Avenue to city limits).
We are also requesting the cost of city services, including
insurance costs. In previous years city services for Police,
PP Fire and Solid Waste were provided on -duty by city personnel.
Additionally, we are requesting an additional cash grant of f
$20,000 to cover other expenses associated with the parade
and activities.
You have assisted us in bringing this commemorative parade
to celebrate Martin Luther King legacy.
