A RESOLUTION RELATED -TO THE 1990.ORARGI :. , BLOSSOM CLASSIC PARADE TO BE HELD OCTOBER 27, 1990r,PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSURE OF DNSIGNAT20 STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC; FURTHER ESTABLISHING AN AREA PROHIBITED TO RETAIL ;r PEDDLERS DURING THE PERIOD OF THE EVENT; - CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR.ALL } NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES ASSOCIATE WITH SAID EVENT, BEYOND THE FUNDING, IF ANY, WHICH MAY BE PROVIDED BY FESTIVAL ORDINANCE NO. 10206 AND OBTAINING INSURANCE COVERAGE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER. WHEREAS, the Orange Blossom Classic Committee will conduct the 1990 Orange Blossom Classic Parade on Saturday, October 27, 1990; and WHEREAS,,certain streets must be closed to through vehicular traffic, during specified hours to ensure. -the safety of the participants and attendees; and WHEREAS, the organizers have requested that retail peddlers be restricted in the area of the parade; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF.MIAMI, FLORIDAt Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the 1990 Orange Blossom Classic Parade, the following streets are hereby closed to through vehicular traffic from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 1990 as specified below: Northwest ,Fifty -Fourth Street from Northwest Seventh Avenue to Northwest Twelfth Avenue. Northwest Seventh Avenue from Northwest Fifty -Fourth Street to Northwest Seventy -First Street. fr Northwest Seventy -First Street from Northwest Seventh Avenue r to Twelfth Avenue (City Limits). Included in the herein closure are all, streets, avenues, { alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the enumerated areas delineated in this Section. ,Z; r z f CITY co soM- 0 SEA' x � rr i Meti i 2. Much cloNing of streets is subject to State approval and isauance of permits by the Departments of police and Fire, Rescue and rnspection Services. Said permit from the Department of police is to be issued upon full approval of the Chief of police after giving all due consideration to the safety °=— and traffic needs of residents, businesses and religious institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's K judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein. Section 3. Pursuant to the provision of City Code Section 39-13, all retail peddlersoccupational licenses issued under the provisions of Chapter 31 of the City Code, as amended, will not be valid on October 27, 1990, during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the above designated streets and on all intersecting streets for two blocks in all directions. — Section 4. The herein approvals are hereby subject to the — organizers obtaining insurance coverage to protect the City in the amount as mandated by the City Manager and paying for all necessary costs of City services, beyond the funding, which may be provided by Festival Ordinance No. 10206.
