MILLER DAWKINS REF: Expansion of the Maximo Gomez Park, Domino Club This is in reference to the petition that you received from the members of the Domino Club formerly called Domino Park located at 801 S.W. 15th Avenue, Miami, Florida. At the present. time we have 850 members at the Maximo Gomez Park and as -you know the facility is too small for such a large membership. .At the Park, the members who are young persons 55 years of age and older enjoy different games, such as domino, chess,.etc.. and have the opportunity to relax in a place where the private security keeps safety above all. We are requesting with this letter, to have the opportunity,' to take this petition to the City Commission in order to join forces with the City of Miami and State of Florida to obtain a grant of about $380,000. to purchase the property adjacent to the Park. We know that you personally are a sympathizer- ;"' of this project and we need your support at the City.Commission•; to realize this dream of the members of the Domino Club.
