RESOLUTION No, 9 0- 769
A -RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE MIAMI AT PEACE
OPPORTUNITY FAIR; PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSURE {
OF DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR
TRAFFIC, SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS
BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE
AND INSPECTION SERVICES; CONDITIONED UPON
ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR THE NECESSARY COSTS OF
CITY SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND
THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CITY WILL BE INSURED
AGAINST ANY POTENTIAL LIABILITY.
WHEREAS, Miami at Peace Opportunity Fair will take place at
Curtis Park and vicinity in the Allapattah area on November 18,
1990; and
.WHEREAS, certain streets must be closed to through vehicular
traffic to insure the safety of the participants and pedestrians
attending this event;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the
Miami at Peace Opportunity Fair, the following streets are hereby
closed* 'to through vehiculartraffic from 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
Sunday, November 18, 1990, as specified below:
Northwest Twenty-third Avenue from Northwest Twentieth
Street to Northwest North River Drive
Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues,
alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the enumer-
ated areas delineated in this Section.
Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State
approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the
