RESOLUTION NO. 9 0 - S 3 7
A RESOLUTION, APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE
AS MEMBERS AND AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER ON THE
INTERNATIONAL TRADE BOARD FOR TERMS OF OFFICE TO
EXPIRE JUNE 30, 1991.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. is hereby
appointed to serve as the City Administration representative of the
International Trade Board for a term of office to expire on June 30, 1991.
Section 2. The following individual is hereby appointed to serve
as a member on the International Trade Board for a term of office to expire
June 30, 1991:

Section 3. The following individual is hereby appointed to serve
as an alternate mcmmber on the International Trade Board for a term of office

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.

and adopted by the City of Miami Commission at its meeting held
on October 25, 1990, appointing you to serve as a member of the
International Trade Board.
Also enclosed is a copy of a memorandum from Jorge L. Fernandez,
City Attorney, dated October 11, 1988, outlining some guidelines
to assist members of City Boards and Committees in complying with
the Government in the Sunshine Law.
Also enclosed, for informational purposes, is another memorandum
from the City Attorney, dated April 3, 1989 on legal requirements
concerning Conflict of Interest and Dual Office Holding
circumstances which may prohibit your membership in said bodies.

RECOMMENDATION:
It Is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached Resolution appointing one regular member and one
alternate member to the International Trade Board for a term to
expire June 30, 1991.
BACKGROUND:
On May 12, 1988, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 10437
establishing a seventeen member International Trade Board. The
primary purpose of the Board is to advise the City on projects,
mechanisms, regulations and facilities necessary for the
development and enhancement of International trade and commerce.
At this time two vacancies exist on the Board, one for a regular
member and one for an alternate member. Both of these
nominations should be made by Vice Mayor Dawkins.
