O i FROM : C i ty Manage RECOMMENDATION: DATE : October 17, 1990 FILE is SUBJECT : Appointing Members to the Miami Street Codesignation Committee REFERENCES. ENCLOSURES: It Is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution appointing three Individuals to serve on the Miami Street Codesignation Review Committee. BACKGROUND: At the meeting of July 12, 1990, the City Commission adopted Ordinance 10761 which created the Miami Street Codesignation Committee. This Committee Is to consist of five members all of whom are to be appointed by the City Commission. The terms of office of the initial membership is as follows: Category A - two members to be appointed until the first Commission meeting following the 1991 regular City election; and Category B - three members to serve until the first Commission meeting following the 1993 City election. The Commission further adopted Resolution 90-527 which appointed Carolyn Cope (nominated by Commissioner Plummer) and Juan Serralles, Jr., Esq., (nominated by Mayor Suarez) to this Committee. Three appointments remain to be made at this time. They are as follows: Category A - one member to be nominated by Commissioner DeYurre; and Category B - two members to be nominated, one by Vice Mayor Dawkins and one by Commissioner Alonso. t 90- 83'5 J
