RESOLUTION NO. 9 0 "' 8 2 1
A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENT, ACCEPTING THE
PLAT ENTITLED "NEW WORLD CENTER BICENTENNIAL
PARK", A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF MIAMI;
AND ACCEPTING THE DEDICATIONS SHOWN ON SAID
PLAT; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE PLAT
AND PROVIDING FOR THE RECORDATION OF SAID
PLAT IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Department of Public Works recommends the
acceptance of the plat;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The plat entitled "NEW WORLD CENTER
BICENTENNIAL PARK", a subdivision of a portion Section 37,
Township 54 South, 41 East, known as New World Center
Bicentennial Park, as shown on the Municipal Atlas, City of Miami
Sheet Numbers 23-AJ, 23-AK, 23-AP, and 23-AN; all lying in the
City of Miami, Dade County, Florida, which plat by reference is
made a part hereof as if fully incorporated herein is hereby
accepted; and the dedications shown thereon together with the
dedications to the perpetual use of the public of all existing
and future planting, trees and shrubbery on said property, are
also hereby accepted and confirmed by the City of Miami, Florida.
Section 2. The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the plat and cause the same to
be recorded in the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

NEW WORLD CENTER BICENTENNIAL PARK - TENTATIVE PLAT *1359-A
The City of Miami Plat and Street Committee, at Its meeting of
August 7, 1990, approved the above tentative plat subject to the
following revisions being made to the tentative plat, additional
information being provided and/or variances being granted. Please
be advised that the processing of your tentative plat cannot
proceed until these conditions have been satisfied.
- Relocate the western boundary of the park eastward a
distance of 117' to coincide with the Burle-Marx
Beautification Plan for Biscayne Boulevard.
- Label the 117' strip of land along Biscayne Boulevard
and the 75' strip of land at the northwesterly boundary
of the plat as "Bicentennial Park Access Road" on both
the tentative and final plats.
- The access road will remain under the Jurisdiction of
the City of Miami and all existing encroachments will
be allowed to remain in this roadway until such time as
Biscayne Boulevard Is redeveloped under the Burle-Marx
Plan.
- Label all existing seawalls.
- Provide As Built" drawings of all gas lines on
property, if available.
- Correct the word "Revised" in lower right corner of the
sheet.
- Show owner's address.
- The, 25-foot access easement to the unplatted parcel
(pump station site) along Biscayne Boulevard shall
remain.

- A letter Is to be prepared by the City granting
Southern Bell Telephone access rights to enter the park
to maintain Its facilities.
Incorporate the following language on the final plat:
"The City of Miami reserves the air rights above any
and all public transportation facilities which may be
erected or constructed In the Bicentennial Park Access
Road."
in addition to the above requirements, you should be aware of
the following:
1. State and local laws require the Installation of various
physical Improvements in the public rights -of -way when
property Is platted. These subdivision Improvements
include paving, drainage, landscaping, sidewalks, etc. In
some cases this could represent a substantial Investment
on your part.
2. The alteration, relocation or Installation of utilities
such as storm and sanitary sewers, electric, telephone,
water, etc., caused by this plat will be at the property
owner's expense. Also, utility easements may be required
on the property being platted.
3. A building permit will not be Issued on the property being
platted until the final plat is recorded. Also, the
Certificate of Occupancy for any building construction will
be Issued only after all the required subdivision
Improvements have been completed.
4. Approval for fire flow requirements must be obtained from
the Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services Department prior
to the Issuance of a building permit.
5. Additional Items must be provided to the City of Miami
Department of Public Works before the final plat Is
submitted to the City Commission for approval. You will be
notified in writing as to what these Items are after the
amount of the bond has been determined for the necessary
subdivision improvements.

6. Tentative plat approval Is only valid for one (1) year from
the date of the Plat and Street Committee Meeting at which
time it was approved.

A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
The accompanying Plat entitled "NEW WORLD CENTER
BICENTENNIAL PARK" was prepared by Weidener Surveying & Mapping,
P.A. It is in correct form for submission to the City
Commission and is forwarded with a recommendation that it be
approved.
PERTINENT INFORMATION REGARDING THE PLAT:
1. The property platted is a subdivision of a portion of
Section 37, Township 54 South, Range 41 East and a portion
of Section 31, Township 53 South, Range 42 East, known as
New World Center Bicentennial Park, as shown on the
Municipal Atlas, City of Miami, Sheet Numbers 23-AJ, 23-AK,
23-AP, and 23-AN, all lying in the City of Miami, Dade
County, Florida. The area platted consists of one (1) tract
containing 30.3± acres of park area. It is zoned PR.
2. The location of the streets and the widths conform with the
standards of the Department of Public Works of the City of
Miami, Florida.
3. As certified to by Margarita Weidener, Registered Land
Surveyor, this Plat complies with the plat filing Laws of
the State of Florida.
4. The Certificate of Title Examination dated August 24, 1990,
signed by John G. Immer, Esquire, Attorney, indicates that
the fee simple title to the property platted is correctly
vested in The City of Miami, and the Plat has been correctly
executed.

5. The area platted is not (�nc.umbered by mortgages.
h. Since all the required subdivision improvements on this
Property have been previously placed and accepted, this Plat
will be forwarded to the City Commission of Miami, Florida,
without the usual. formality of providing Bond and Contract.

ENCLOSURES.
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt a
resolution accepting the plat "New World Center Bicentennial
Park" and approving recording the same in the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works has reviewed this plat, and has
determined that it is now in order for acceptance by the City
Commission.
The proposed record plat entitled "NEW WORLD CENTER BICENTENNIAL
PARK" is a subdivision of a portion of Section 37, .Township 54
South, Range 41 East and a portion of Section 31, Township 53
South, Range 42 East, known as New World Center Bicentennial
Park, as shown on the Municipal Atlas, City of Miami, Sheet
Numbers 23-AJ, 23-AK, 23-AP, and 23-AN, all lying in the City of
Miami, Dade County, Flor+ida. The area platted consists of one
(1) tract containing 30.3— acres of park area. It is zoned PR.
Also attached are the following documents necessary for the City
Commission to consider in making their decision:
