A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE FIREFIGHTERS
CHILDREN'S HORSE PARADE TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE
k FIREFIGHTERS BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION ON FRIDAY,
OCTOBER 41 1991; AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF
DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR
! TRAFFIC; SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY
i THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND
INSPECTION SERVICES; WAIVING ALL CITY FEES
j ALLOWED TO BE WAIVED BY CITY CODE; FURTHER
CONDITIONING ALL APPROVALS AND AUTHORIZATIONS
GRANTED HEREIN UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR
THE NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES
ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING
INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT
PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the
Firefighters Children's Horse Parade to be conducted by the
Firefighters Benevolent Association, the following streets are
hereby closed to through vehicular traffic on Friday, October 4,
1991, from 9:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., as specified below:
Flagler Street from Biscayne Boulevard to Northwest First
Avenue.
Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues,
alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the
enumerated areas delineated in this Section.
Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State
approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the
Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the
Chief of Police after giving all due consideration to the safety
and traffic needs of residents, businesses, and religious
institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said
arterials and upon the exercise of the City Manager's judgement
predicated upon all factors set forth herein.

Section 3. All those fees allowed by City Code to be waived
are hereby waived.
Section 4. The herein approvals and authorizations are
hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all costs of
City services associated with said event and obtaining insurance
to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City
Manager or his designee.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
