A RESOLUTION APPROVING REESTABLISHMENT OF A
;'MARRED CHANNEL TO THE SOUTH OF DINNER KEYt
SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE UNITED STATES
'COkST :GUARD .AND OTHER REGULATORY AGENCIES AS
MASS 99`REQUIRED, WITH FUNDS FOR SAID CHANNEL
TO BE MADE AVAILABLE FROM DINNER KEY MARINA r
RETAINED EARNINGS WHICH WILL BE APPROPRIATED
AS A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the Miami Waterfront Advisory Board, after
reviewing public input, recommends that a channel to the South of
Dinner Key be 'reestablished to facilitate and improve boating
safety and navigation; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of said channel will require the
installation of pilings, markers, and similar structures, at a
=
total estimated cost of $25,000, as well as the approval of
affected regulatory agencies, including the United States Coast
-
Guard, as to location and orientation; and

WHEREAS, funds for said installation will be made available
from Dinner Key Marina Retained Earnings which will be
-
appropriated as a Capital Improvement Project;
"NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY

OF.MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The reestablishment of a marked channel to the
south of Dinner Key is hereby approved, subject to the approval

of the United States Coast Guard and that of other regulatory
agencies as may be required, with funds for said channel to be
made available from Dinner Key Marina Retained Earnings which
will be appropriated as a Capital Improvement Project,`

immediately upon its adoption, r
