FOR FURNISHING CLEANING SERVICES AT THE MIAMARINA AND DINNER KEY MARINA FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE YEAR WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS AT A TOTAL PROPOSED FIRST YEAR COST OF $21,722.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1991-92 OPERATING BUDGET, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 580404-340 ($14,232) AND ACCOUNT CODE NO. 580405-340 ($7,490); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS SERVICE, AND THEREAFTER TO EXTEND THIS CONTRACT FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIODS SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND UPON THE SAME TERMS, PRICE AND CONDITIONS. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received May 8, 1991 for the furnishing of cleaning services at Miamarina and Dinner Key Marina on a contract basis for one year with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to forty-one (41) potential suppliers and eleven (11) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available from the 1991-92 Operating Budget Account Code No. 580404-340 ($14,232) and Account Code No. 580405-340 ($7,490); and WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purpose of providing cleaning services at Miamarina at Bayside and Dinner Key Marina; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation recommend that the bid received from South Florida Maintenance Services, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF SEP 11 1991 91-- 61.3 pro. a. A Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The May 8, 1991 bid of South Florida Maintenance Services, Inc. for furnishing cleaning services at Miamarina and Dinner Key Marina for a period of one year with the option to extend for two (2) additional one-year periods at the same price, terms and conditions for the Department of Parks and Recreation at a total proposed cost of $21,722.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1991-92 Operating Budget, Account Code No. 580404-340 ($14,232) and Account Code No. 580405-340 ($7,490). Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a Purchase Order for this service and thereafter to extend this contract for two (2) additional one-year periods subject to the availability of funds and upon the same terms, price and conditions.
