WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received July 24, 1991 for the furnishing and installation of additional fencing at Fire Station No. 2 for the General Services Administration and Solid Waste/Property Maintenance Division; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty (20) potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available from the Capital Improvement Program,Project No. 313018, Account Code No. 289301-860; and WHEREAS, the proposed additional fencing and repairs will result in improved security to the fire station facility; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Administrator of the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste recommend that the bid received from Carlson Fence Company, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. CITY COMMISSION ,,. Responsive bids were received from two companies, both non -minority. Carlson Fence Company, Inc., located at 13100 NW 182 Street, Dade County, Florida, was the most responsible and responsive bidder at a cost of $6,097.00; and thus recommended for award..
