RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING ONE HUNDRED (100)
SURPLUS SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS, ONE (1)
SURPLUS SWEEPER, FIVE (5) SURPLUS RUBBISH
TRUCKS AND SIX (6) SURPLUS GARBAGE PACKING
TRUCKS AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS STOCK, AND
DONATING THE SAME, AFTER THE EXECUTION OF THE
APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS, TO THE SISTER
CITY OF PORT -AU -PRINCE, IN THE REPUBLIC OF
HAITI, SUCH DONATION TO BE VALID AND
EFFECTIVE BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 11, 1991 AND
SEPTEMBER 10, 1992; SAID EQUIPMENT TO BE USED
BY THE CITY OF PORT -AU -PRINCE IN
MUNICIPAL SANITATION EFFORTS WITH
TRANSPORTATION, PACKING, AND SHIPPING TS
TO BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OF
PORT -AU -PRINCE.
WHEREAS, the Sister City of Port -Prince, thMAepublic
of Haiti, has need for assistant in munic' 1 sanitation
efforts; and
WHEREAS, the Sanitation t th City of Port -au-
Prince is in need of pme to be ed in its municipal
sanitation efforts; an
WHEREAS, the ty of Mia as one hundred (100) surplus

OW, T FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
F M ORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolutic.n are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. One hundred (100) surplus solid waste
containers, one (1) surplus sweeper, five (5) surplus rubbish

trucks and six (6) surplus garbage packing trucks are hereby
classified as Category "A" Stock; as stipulated in
Section 18-51.4 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended.
Section 3. Within the period of September 11, 1991 and
Sepptember 10, 1992, said Category "A" surplus stock is hereby
donated upon the execution of the appropriate release documents,
said equipment to the Sister City of Port-au-Prince, th
Republic of Haiti, to be used by the Sanitation Departm of the
City of Port-au-Prince in its municipal sanitation forts ith
costs of transportation, packing and shipping bor by
Sister City of Port-au-Prince.

ENCLOSURES Proposed Resolution
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution classifying one hundred (100) surplus solid
waste containers, one (1) surplus sweeper, five (5) surplus
rubbish trucks, and six (6) surplus garbage packing trucks as
Category "A" Surplus Stock and donating same to the Sister City
of Port-au-Prince, in the Republic of Haiti.
BACKGROUND:
The Sister City of Port-au-Prince, in the Republic of Haiti, has
need for assistance in its municipal sanitation efforts and has
requested the equipment to be used for such a purpose.
The attached Resolution formalizes the donation of the equipment.
