ENCLOSURES
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution appointing individuals to serve on the
Waterfront Advisory Board, two (2) as regular members and one (1)
as the alternate.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Parks and Recreation has prepared the attached
legislation. The purpose of this resolution is to replenish
membership on the Waterfront Advisory Board by appointing two (2)
regular members and one (1) alternate member. The appointments
are required as a result of the normal expiration of specified
membership terms on September B. 1991, though previously
appointed members may continue to serve until their successors
have been named by action of the Commission. Applicable
ordinances mandate that the Board consist of ten (10) regular
members and one (1) alternate. The most recent appointments were
made September 11, 1991.
It should be noted that Ordinance No. 10459 provides that members
of this board " ... shall reside in the City, maintain a place of
business or office in the City, or own real property in the City
at the time of their appointment." The requested appointments
correspond to the following categories:
