( ( E---; N a l A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING THREE (3) SURPLUS FIRE AND RESCUE PUMPER TRUCKS AS CATEGORY "B" SURPLUS STOCK AND SELLING THE SAME TO THE CUERPO NACIONAL DE BOMBEROS OF THE SISTER CITY OF SANTO DOMINGO, IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, AFTER THE EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS, AT THE NEGOTIATED TOTAL PRICE OF $18,000, EXCLUSIVE OF TRANSPORTATION AND SHIPPING COSTS; SAID EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY THE CUERPO NACIONAL DE BOMBEROS OF THE SISTER CITY OF SANTO DOMINGO IN ITS FIREFIGHTING EFFORTS. WHEREAS, the Cuerpo Nacional de Bomberos of the Sister City of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, has need of three (3) pumper trucks to assist them in their firefighting efforts; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami has three (3) surplus pumper trucks available for sale to the Cuerpo Nacional de Bomberos of the Sister City of Santo Domingo at a total negotiated price of $18,000, exclusive of transportation and shipping costs; and WHEREAS, Section 18-51.4 of the City Code allows for such negotiated sales of surplus City equipment to Sister Cities; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission that these three (3) surplus pumper trucks be classified as Category "B" Surplus Stock and sold to the Cuerpo Nacional de Bomberos of the Sister City of Santo Domingo for the negotiated CITY C0711 M!".7I®Nf M-ETaTL� la 4F NOV 14 1991 W total price of $18,000 exclusive of transportation and shipping costs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Three (3) surplus fire and rescue pumper trucks are hereby classified as Category "B" Surplus Stack, as stipulated in Section 18-51.4 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended. Seotion 3. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to sell to the Cuerpo Nacional de Bomberos of the Sister City of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, after the execution of the appropriate release documents, three (3) surplus fire and rescue pumper trucks for the total negotiated amount of $18,000, with the costs of transportation and shipping to be borne by the Sister City of Santo Domingo in accordance with Section 18-51.4 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended. Odic, City Manger N.Astompt: \ ' REFERENCES: FILE Resolution to Sell 3 Surplus Pumper Trucks to the Sister City of Santo Domingo ENCLOSURES Proposed Resolution It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to sell to the Cuerpo Nacional de Bomberos of the Sister City of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, three (3;_ surplus pumper trucks at the negotiated total price of $18,000. In accordance with the City Code (Section'18-51.4), the negotiated price does not include any transportation or shipping costs; these costs will be borne by the Sister City of Santo Domingo. BACKGROUND: The Cuerpo Nacional de Bomberos of the Sister City of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic has a need for three (3) surplus pumper trucks to assist them in their firefighting efforts. The City Administration, as provided in Section 18-51.4 of Che City Code, has negotiated a total price of $18,000 for the three (3) surplus pumper trucks, exclusive of transportation and shipping costs. - The attached resolution formalizes the sale of the above -noted surplus equipment to the Sister City of Santo Domingo.
