WHEREAS, on Maroh 28, 1991, the City Commission adopted t Resolution No. 91-248, approving a Waterfront Charter: modifioation for the Riverparo Hotel, 100 Southeast 4th Street, which Resolution inoorporated, inter alis, a $1,000 contribution from the developer, Parque Del Rio Ltd., for park and playground equipment at -the new day ogre oenter at Jerry Curtis Pa rk_at the suggestion of Commissioner De Yurre and WHEREAS,: during Commission disoussion of. said Resolution, Commissioner Dawkins moved that an additional $4,000 be allooated. from the Proffered Trust Fund for park.and playground equipment at parks to be .subsequently identified by the Mayor and the three :. remaining Commissioners; and WHEREAS, said Motion by Commissioner Dawkins was not germane, to -the subjeot,.->Of Resolution No: 91-248 and; is now being formalized in this Resolution; y NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 'RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI$ FLORIDA Seotion 1. The reoltals and findings oontained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted 'by'; reference thereto- and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Seotion. t Seotion 2. Odi E City Manager ►'° ENCLOSURES i RECOMMENDATION: MAY 13 1991 PILE : Contribution from Proffered Trust Fund to Parks Development Fund Agenda item; City Commission Meeting of May 23, 1991 It is respectfully recommended that the Commission authorize the City Manager to instruct the Finance Department to disburse a total of $4,000 from the . Proffered Trust Fund to the Parks Development Fund for park and playground equipment for certain city parks to be designated by Mayor Suarez, Vice Mayor Plummer, and Commissioners Alonso and Dawkins. TN TMtO ►1 During discussion of Item PZ-7, on March 25, 1991, a Waterfront Charter Amendment modification for the Riverparc Hotel, 100 SE 4th Street, Commissioner DeYurre moved that the developer, Parque Del Rio- Ltd.', be required to contribute $1,000 for park and playground equipment at the new day care center at Jerry Curtis Park. Continuing that discussion,- Commissioner Dawkins moved that $4,000 be allocated from the Proffered Trust Fund for park and playground equipment at parks to be subsequently identified by Mayor Suarez, Vice Mayor Plummer, Commissioner Dr. Alonso and himself. The,Law.Department found that the second motion was not germane to the subject of Resolution 91-248 and advised that the second motion should be brought back separately and formalized. The Proffered Trust Fund receives contributions from developers: unless directed otherwise, as in this instance, the first $25,000 to accumulate in the account is to be used for increasing security in Rainbow Village in ; Overtown.
