Per ndex Civil Service Board FROM : city Attorne REFERENCES ENCLOSURES: ( 1 ) Monies allocated by Resolution No. 90-404, adopted May 24, 1990, which provided compensation for employment of Special Counsel to the Code Enforcement Board and Civil Service Board (Armando Bucelo and Mark Valentine, respectively) are now nearly depleted. Accordingly, allocations therefor, in an amount not to exceed $18#000 from the budgeted funds of the Planning Building and Zoning Department, Account No. 560602-250, and an amount not to exceed $18,000 from the budgeted funds of the Civil Service Office, Account No. 240101-250, are hereby requested. Employment of Special Counsel to these Boards is required by law since the City Attorney's Office prosecutes code enforcement violations before the Code Enforcement Board and represents Department Heads in disciplinary matters before the Civil Service' Board and therefore cannot simultaneously represent those Boards.
