S 6 A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 90-343, ADOPTED MAY 24, 1990, WHICH AUTHORIZED THE CITY MANGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND Y AND W ROOFING AND REMODELING, INC., AND ALSO RESCINDING THE CONTRACT SO AUTHORIZED; ACCEPTING THE BID OF JORGE LARRAURI, G.C., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $18,571.00, BASE BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR SIMPSON PARK BUILDING RENOVATIONS PROJECT, B-2956, WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO.•10782, PROJECT NO. 331346, IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,571.00 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; AND $4,427.00 TO COVER THE ESTIMATED EXPENSES, FOR A TOTAL OF $22,998.00; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH JORGE LARRAURI, G.C. FOR SAID PROJECT. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received March 27, 1990, for SIMPSON PARR BUILDING RENOVATIONS PROJECT B-2956; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 90-343, adopted May 24, 1990, awarded the contract to Y and W Roofing and Remodeling, Inc.; and WHEREAS, Y and W Roofing and Remodeling, Inc., was unable to obtain the proper insurance as required by The City of Miami Standard Contract Documents and Specifications; and J�91�155 3/7/91 RESOLUTION NO. �. 1. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received March 27, 1990, for SIMPSON PARR BUILDING RENOVATIONS PROJECT B-2956; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 90-343, adopted May 24, 1990, awarded the contract to Y and W Roofing and Remodeling, Inc.; and WHEREAS, Y and W Roofing and Remodeling, Inc., was unable to obtain the proper insurance as required by The City of Miami Standard Contract Documents and Specifications; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works have recommended that the bid from JORGE k LARRAURI, G.C., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid, since a lower priced bid was rejected as being nonresponsive as well as nonresponsible; and WHEREAS, Fiscal Year 1990-91 Capital Improvement Ordinance No.; 10782 was adopted on September 27, 1990, and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals under Project No. 331346 of said Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY , Section i. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this 4 t. Section. Resolution too. 90-343, adopted May 24, 1990, Section 2. - -; �' and the contract entered into pursuant to such Resolution with Y and W Roofing and Remodeling, Inc. is hereby rescinded. { 1 Section 3. The March 27, 1990 bid of JORGE LARRAURI, G.C., in an amount not to exceed $18,571.00, for the project i entitled ,SIMPSON PARK BUILDING RENOVATIONS PROJECT B-29561', for r the base bid of the proposal, based on lump sum and unit prices, - is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. ri Section 4. The total project cost of $22,998.00 is hereby allocated from Fiscal Year 1990-91 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10782, Project No. 331346. Said total project cost consists of the $18,571.00 contract cost and $4,427.00 estimated , ex enses incurred by the City.` P u� = Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to r enter into a contract-1 � on behalf of the City of Miami with JORGE LARRAURI, G.C., for SIMPSON PARK BUILDING RENOVATIONS PROJECT B-2956, base bid of the proposal.
