WHEREAS, sealed bids were received February 12, 1991, for CITYWIDE COURT RENOVATIONS: WAINWRIGHT PARK B-2997, PEACOCK PARK B-2948-A, REEVES PARK B-2948-B; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from A & C �s CONTRACTORS, INC., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1990-91 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10782, was adopted on September 27, 1990, and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals under Project No. 331329 and Project No. 331318 -of said Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The February 12, 1991, bid of A & C CONTRACTORS, INC., in an amount not to exceed $40,721.00, for the M project entitled CITYWIDE COURT RENOVATIONS: WAINWRIGHT PARK f B-2997, PEACOCK PARK B-2948-A, REEVES PARK B-2948-B for the base bid of the proposal, based on lump sum and unit prices, is hereby "-a accepted at the price stated therein. J Section 2. The total estimated project cost of $48,321.40 is hereby allocated from the Fiscal Year 1990-91 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10782, Project No. 3313291 in the amount of $17,666.72 and Project No. 331318jin the amount of $300654.68. Said total project cost consists of the $14,911.00 and $25,810.00 contract cost and $2,755,72 and $4,844.68 respectively estimated expenses incurred by the City. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract1/ on behalf of the City of Miami with A & C CONTRACTORS, INC., for CITYWIDE COURT RENOVATIONS: WAINWRIGHT PARK B-2997, PEACOCK PARK B-2948-A, REEVES PARK B-2948-B, base bid of the proposal. The project consists of the furnishing of all labor, equipment and material for the construction of three asphaltic concrete basketball courts at three City parks. If bidders wish, a set of plans and specifications will be mailed to them by writing to the Department of Public Works and including a separste check for $8. The City will expect prospective bidders to submit an Affirmative Action Plan, as defined in said Ordinance, as required in the instructions to Bidders.
