RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION CCHMENDING UNITED STATES ARMY GENERAL
COLIN POWE LLe CHAIRMAN OF THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF,
UNITED STATES DEPARMW OF DEFENSE, FOR HIS DISPLAY
OF EXEMPLARY MILITARY SKILLS AND PROFESSIONALISM IN
THE ONGOING EFFORT TO INFORM THE NATION AND THE MRLD
OF THE EVENTS TAKING PLACE DURING THE ARMED CONFLICT
IN THE PERSIAN GULF.
WHEREAS, constant vigilance is the price of freedom a nation may be
expected to pay at all times; and
WHEREAS, especially in time of war there must be those professional
military persons who can be relied upon to secure maximum value for the cost
being paid in lives on the battlefields of the land, sea and air; and
WHEREAS, United States Army General Colin Powell, Chairman of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff, Department of Defense, is the epitcue of the true
professional soldier;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ML MI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. United States Army General Colin Powell, Chairman of
the Joint Chiefs of Staff, United States Department of Defense, is hereby
camended for his display of exemplary military skills and professionalism in
the ongoing effort to infonn the nation and the world of the events taking
place during the aimed conflict in the Persian Gulf.
Section 2. This Resolution shall becane effective immediately
upon its adoption.
