Bailey Assistant City Ma ENCLosuREs Subject Site Map This is to request the inclusion of a Commission Agenda of May 9 to report the negotiations with representatives of the at SW 23rd Avenue and 8th Street, Pya"14"Z011�• discussion item on the results of City purchase Rainbow Buick property On April 24th, Representatives of the Rainbow Buick property at SW 23rd Avenue and 8th Street met with the Department of Development to discuss potential City purchase of the site for a Little Havana Specialty Center. This meeting was arranged in compliance with the Commission motion passed April 11th, 1991 directing the City Manager to explore such a purchase and report back at the earliest possible time. The property owners agreed to sell and we agreed to recommend to the Commission the purchase of 3.15 acres of land (137,000 s.f.) for $1.7 million dollars ($12.31 per square foot of land). The attached map illustrates the property boundaries.
