ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE
NO. 10789, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 27, 1990, AS
AMENDED, THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT APPROPRIATIONS
ORDINANCE, BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR
GRAPELAND STORM SEWERS -PHASE 1, PROJECT NO.
352188, IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000; INCREASING
i THE APPROPRIATION FOR GRAPELAND STORM SEWERS-
I PHASE 11, PROJECT NO. 352266, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$600,000; INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR
CITYWIDE LOCAL DRAINAGE PROJECTS-FY'91-FY'92,
PROJECT NO. 352275, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.0
MILLION; SAID INCREASES FOR ALL THREE PROJECTS
COMING FROM STORM SEWER GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND
FUNDS; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.

WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 10782 on
September 27, 1990 to estab Ish appropriations for capital
Improvements, continue previ sly approved capital Improvement
projects, and estabil n a Itai Improvement prole s o begin
during fiscal year 1 0 91, and
WHEREAS sat O Inance No. 10782 app rl�it $1.7 million
for Grapel d for Sewers -Phase I, P ect o. 352188, $1.7
million for peland Storm Sqe-P I{ase II, roject No. 352266,
and $4.0 mil Ion for Cltywloc !!!!!!e'T Drainage Projects-FY'91-
FY'92, Project No. 352275, foconstruction and modification
of drainage facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works desires to expand
and accelerate the scope of drainage construction in Grapeland
Storm Sewers -Phases I and II to take advantage of the favorable.
competitive bidding environment that now exists in the
construction Industry created by current nationwide economic
conditions, by Increasing the budget for each Project by $0.5
million; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works desires to expand
the original scope of Local Drainage Projects-FY'91-FY'92 by $1.0
million to eliminate more drainage problems due to a large number
of citizen complaints and Inquiries pertaining to drainage
problems citywide; and `
