ARSCMt, Loa 1 1007 has had a pre -paid legal program which has
been provide for by labor contract. President, Charles Cox, of
APSCM9, Loea 1007, has advised me they have replaced the current
vendor comp my Midwest Pre -Paid Legal with a new company. U.S.
Legal Protecion.
It Is my un rstanding from materlals received from Mr. Cox, the
new company lit be providing additional benefits as well as pay
an employee, entire family dependent coverage for the same price
as the prevl Vs company.
In any ,even , Midwest Pre -Paid Legal Insurance had a deduction
taken from he December glut paycheck but no other additional
deduction will be made.
The new company, U.S. Legal Protection, has an obligation to have
authorliaattlo cards signed by all Individuals who currently enjoy
f Midwest Pre Paid Legal should the employee desire to continue
+� pre -paid legal coverage._ i would appreciate any assistance you
it can give the representative* of U.S. Legal Protection to expedite
the employee haatving an option to select this benefit If they so --

desire.

ENFORCEMENT WEEKEND SCHEDULED DURING JANUARY 12-13, 1991. LAW '
ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF FLORIDA
PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT. CYPRESS GARDENS WILL HOST THE
WEEKEND TO EDUCATE PARK GUESTS AND TO BENEFIT THE FLORIDA
SHERIFFS' YOUTH RANCHES. DISCOUNT COUPONS ARE DISTRIBUTED
THROUGHOUT THE STATE, AND FOR EVERY COUPON REDEEMED, 25 CENTS.,
WILL GO TO THE FLORIDA SHERIFFS' YOUTH RANCHES. MEMBERS OF
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE INVITED TO
ATTEND.

AFSCME LOCAL 1907 OFFERS A PRE -PAID LEGAL .PROGRAM WHICH HAS
BEEN PROVIDED FOR BY LABOR CONTRACT. THE CURRENT VENDOR,
MIDWEST PRE -PAID LEGAL, HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH ANOTHER
COMPANY, U.S. LEGAL PROTECTION.
ACCORDING TO AVAILABLE INFORMATION, THE REPLACEMENT COMPANY
WILL -BE PROVIDING ADDITIONAL BENEFITS AS WELL AS PAY AN
EMPLOYEE'S ENTIRE FAMILY DEPENDENT COVERAGE FOR THE SAME PRICE
AS ASSESSED BY THE PREVIOUS COMPANY. HOWEVER, MIDWEST PRE
PAID LEGAL INSURANCE .DID HAVE A DEDUCTION TAKEN FROM THE
DECEMBER 21ST PAYCHECK, BUT NO OTHER., ADDITIONAL DEDUCTIONS
WILL OCCUR.
THE REPLACEMENT COMPANY, U.S. LEGAL PROTECTION, HAS AN
OBLIGATION TO REQUIRE AUTHORIZATION CARDS SIGNED BY ALL
INDIVIDUALS WHO CURRENTLY ENJOY MIDWEST PRE -PAID LEGAL, SHOULD
THE EMPLOYEE DESIRE TO CONTINUE PRE -PAID LEGAL COVERAGE.
REPRESENTATIVES OF U.S. LEGAL PROTECTION WILL BE CONTACTING
EMPLOYEES TO PROVIDE AN OPTION TO SELECT THIS .BENEFIT _IF THEY.
