It is respectfully requested that: a Resolution allocating funding
for the maintenance of two City of Miami Air Rescue Helicopters,
at a cost of $171,200, funding therefor from the Police
Department General Operating Budget, Index Code 290201-270, be
approved.
The Police Department Aviation Program continues to be extremely
successful.. Along with regular patrol support missions the
detail has assisted nearly every section of the Police
Department. They have also responded to requests from the Metro
Dade Police Department, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Custom$
Service, and the Coral Gables Police Department.
In order to continue providing this type of service, funding in
the amount of $171,200, is necessary. These funds will cover the
period of January 1, 1993, through September 30, 1993, and are
available in the Police Department General Operating Budget.
