HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-92-0769Is 4 r J-92-845 11/25/92 RESOLUTION NO. 9 2- 769 A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING ONE (1) SURPLUS CITY VEHICLE AS CATEGORY "A" STOCK, SHOULD SUCH A VEHICLE BECOME AVAILABLE AS SURPLUS CITY STOCK; FURTHER DONATING THE SAME TO THE SHORECREST HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, MIAMI, FLORIDA, ("SHORECREST"), SUCH DONATION TO BE VALID AND EFFECTIVE BETWEEN OCTOBER 8, 1992 AND OCTOBER 7, 1993, UPON THE EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS; SAID VEHICLES TO BE USED BY SHORECREST TO REPLACE ONE SHORECREST CAR, IN ITS EFFORTS TOWARD DETERRING CRIME. WHEREAS, Shorecrest formally appeared before the City Commission on Thursday, October 8, 1992, requesting one (1) City vehicle; and WHEREAS, Shorecrest has need of assistance in the replacement of one Shorecrest neighborhood crime patrol car for its efforts toward deterring crime; and WHEREAS, the City Commission passed Motion No. 92-663, on Thursday, October 8, 1992, granting the request received from Shorecrest for the donation of a City vehicle, if available; and WHEREAS, this Resolution formalizes Motion No. 92-663, passed on Thursday, October 8, 1992; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami may have available one (1)" surplus vehicle between October 8, 1992 and October 7, 1993, the CITY COMUSSION MEETING OF DEC 10 1992 Resolution No. 92- 769 Oak effective period of this donation, that could be used for just such a purpose; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission that, if available, this one (1) surplus City vehicle be donated to Shorecrest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. One (1) surplus City vehicle is hereby classified Category "A" Stock, should such vehicle become available as surplus City Stock. Section 3. Within the period of October 8, 1992 and October 71 1993, said Category "A" surplus stock, if available, is hereby donated, upon the execution of the appropriate release documents, to the Shorecrest Homeowners Association, Miami, Florida, said vehicles to be used by the Shorecrest Homeowners Association in its efforts toward deterring crime. The Shorecrest Homeowners Association, Miami, Florida, formally appeared before the City Commission on Thursday, October 8, 1992, requesting one (1) City vehicle to replace their crime patrol car, to be used in its efforts toward deterring crime. The City Commission passed Motion No. 92-663, on Thursday, October 81 1992 granting the request. The attached Resolution formalizes the donation of the vehicle. 92- 769 0f r
