HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-92-0744RESOLUTION NO. 92- 744 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR THE OLYMPIA BUILDING, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 92-649, ADOPTED OCTOBER 81 1992, BY ADDING THREE MEMBERS TO THE REVIEW COMMITTEE CREATED BY SAID RESOLUTION TO EVALUATE PROPOSALS AND REPORT FINDINGS TO THE CITY MANAGER CONCERNING THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE OLYMPIA BUILDING LOCATED AT 174 EAST FLAGLER STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 92-566 authorized the Miami Parking System and City Manager to prepare a Unified Development Request for Proposals and scheduled a public hearing for October 8, 1992 at 4:00 P.M., to consider the contents of the Request for Proposals ("RFP"); and WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the public hearing on October 8, 1992, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 92-649 which authorized the issuance of the Request for Proposals, appointed an eight (8) member Review Committee and selected a certified public accounting firm to evaluate proposal submissions and report findings to the City Manager as required by the City Charter and Code for Unified Development Projects; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the appointment of the original review committee, the City Commission determined that expansion of the committee would enhance the review and evaluation process; i CITY COSOUSSION FETING OF NOV 1 2 1992 Resolution No. 92- 744 Z12- L3 i NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings Contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Resolution No. 92-649, adopted on October 8, 1992, is hereby amended by appointing the following supplemental appointments to the Review Committee which will evaluate proposals to redevelop the Olympia Building at 174 East Flagler Street, Miami, Florida: ADDITIONAL MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC SETH GORDON Seth Gordon Associates ADDITIONAL CITY EMPLOYEES ARLENE WEINTRAUB Assistant Director Department of. Flagler Street, Miami, Florida. BACKGROUND: Miami Parking System recommends that at the conclusion of the public hearing on November 12, 1992, that the following individuals be added to the Review Committee appointed at the October 8, 1992 City Commission meeting.
