Home My WebLink AboutR-92-0737J-92-771 11/12/92 RESOLUTION NO. 9 2 737 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAMS PAVING COMPANY, INC., IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $227,066.00, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR FLAGAMI STORM SEWER OUTFALL PROJECT B-5583; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR, IN THE AMOUNT OF $227,066.00 FOR, FROM FISCAL YEAR 1991-92 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 10938, PROJECT NO. 352182, WITH THE ESTIMATED EXPENSES AND ESTIMATED TOTAL COSTS TO BE ALLOCATED AND APPROVED AT A SUBSEQUENT CITY COMMISSION MEETING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on September 18, 1992, for FLAGAMI STORM SEWER OUTFALL PROJECT B-5583; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from Williams Paving Company, Inc., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, Fiscal Year 1991-92 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10938, as amended on January 23, 1992, made monies available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals under Project No. 352182 of said Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. The September 18, 1992 bid of Williams Paving Company, Inc., in the proposed amount of $227,086.00 for the project entitled "FLAGAMI STORM SEWER OUTFALL PROJECT B-8883" for r the total bid of the proposal, based on lump sum and unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. - Section 3. The project cost in the amount of $226,066.00 is hereby allocated from the Fiscal Year 1991-92 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10938, Project No. 352182. Section 4. The estimated expenses and total estimated project costs shall be and approved and allocated at a subsequent City Commission Meeting. Section 8. The City Manager is hereby authorized to ' enter into a contract,on behalf of the City of Miami with Williams Paving Company, Inc., for FLAGAMI STORM SEWER OUTFALL I' PROJECT B-8883, total bid of the proposal. RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution accepting the low bid of Williams Paving Company, Inc., a company not located within Dade County and not within the City of Miami, for the FLAGAMI STORM SEWER OUTFALL PROJECT B-5583, received September 18, 1992 in the amount of $227,066.00, Total Bid; authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of the City. Section 3. The total estimated project cost of $274,539.00 is hereby allocated from the Fiscal Year 1991-92 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 1U938, Project No. 352182. Said total project cost consists of the $227,066.00 contract cost and $47,473.00 estimated expenses incurred by the City. Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract.!/ on behalf of the City of Miami with Williams Paving Company, Inc. , for FLAGAMI STORM SEWER OUTFALL PROJECT 6-5583, total bid of the proposal. Section 5.
