HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-92-0696J-92-745 10/28/92 RESOLUTION NO. 9 2 ` us -- A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF CERTAIN ITEMS OF FURNITURE FROM THE UNITED STATES NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD. WHEREAS, the United States National Labor Relations Board (the "Board") has eleven items of excess furniture that it wishes to donate to another government agency; and WHEREAS, upon the Board's invitation, the Chief Procurement Officer of the City of Miami inspected the furniture to determine whether the City could use said items; and WHEREAS, it was determined that the City could utilize said furniture for transfer to City departments indicating a need; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Odio City Manager ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution accepting the donation of furniture from the U. S. Government's National Labor Relations Board. The Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste was recently contacted by the National Labor Relations Board because it had certain items of excess furniture that it wished to donate to another government agency. At the Board's invitation, the Chief Procurement Officer inspected the furniture and determined that the City could use the eleven (11) items being offered, for transfer to various City departments indicating a need for such furniture.
