The Police Department supports the efforts of those organizations
devoted to offering the youth of our community an alternative to
drugs and crime. Youth of America, in conjunction with the
Martin Luther King Economic Development Corporation, is one such
organization and is planning a trip for underprivileged children
to Orlando. This trip will stress non -violence and drug free
messages during the two day period.
It is, therefore, recommended that the Resolution authorizing the
funding of the Youth of America Role Models Activities Trip, and
allocating funds therefor in the amount of $4,610, funding to be
provided from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, Project No. 690001,
Index Code 029002-247, be approved.
