RESOLUTION NO. 9 Z- 666
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 92-503,
ADOPTED JULY 16, 1992, RELATED TO THE
CARIBBEAN AMERICAN CARNIVAL 1992 PARADE,
THEREBY CHANGING THE ROUTE OF SAID PARADE
AND PROVIDING FOR THE WAIVER OF ALL WAIVABLE
CITY FEES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 92-503, adopted July 16, 1992,
is hereby amended in the following particulars:i/
"Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage
during the Caribbean American Carnival 1992 Parade, the
following streets are hereby partially closed to
through vehicular traffic on Sunday, October 11, 1992
as specified below:
From 7:00 A.M. to 1.. . 4:00 P.M.
Biscayne Boulevard from Northeast Fifth Street to
Northeast Fourteenth Street (north of the Part of
Miemi j .
Biscayne Boulevard from East Flagler Street to
Northeast Fourteenth Street.
1/ Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted.
Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The
remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged.
Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material.

included in the herein Closure are all streets,
avenues, alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect
the enumerated areas delineated in this Section.
Section 4. All _waivable City fees are hereb
waived.
Section 4-.5. The herein authorization is hereby
further conditioned upon the organizers obtaining
insurance to protect the City in the amount as
prescribed by the City Manager or his designee.
Section 5-.6. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption."

A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE CARIBBEAN
AMERICAN CARNIVAL 1992 PARADE AND FESTIVAL TO
BE CONDUCTED BY CARIBBEAN AMERICAN CARNIVAL
ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1992; AUTHORIZING THE
CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH
VEHICULAR TRAFFIC; SUBUECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF
PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND
FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES AND
CONDITIONED UPON THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS:
THE PARADE MUST COMMENCE BY 9:00 A.M.; THE
PARADE MUST CLEAR THE ENTRANCE TO BAYFRONT
PARK AND BAYSIDE SOUTH OF THE PORT OF MIAMI
BY 12:00 NOON; THE PARADE MUST CLEAR BISCAYNE
BOULEVARD NORTH OF THE PORT OF MIAMI ENTRANCE
BY 4:00 P.M.; NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE TO
BE DISPENSED AND/OR SOLD ON THE STREETS
DURING THE PARADE; ORGANIZERS MUST PAY THE
COST OF THIS YEAR'S ESTIMATED CITY SERVICES
AND FEES AT LEAST THREE (3) DAYS PRIOR TO THE
EVENT; ORGANIZERS MUST PAY THE AMOUNT OF
$6,348 DUE THE CITY FROM LAST YEAR'S EVENT NO
LATER THAN THREE (3) DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT;
ORGANIZERS MUST EXECUTE A HOLD HARMLESS
AGREEMENT TO PROTECT THE CITY AGAINST ANY
CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE CARIBBEAN AMERICAN
PARADE AND FESTIVAL; ORGANIZERS MUST PROVIDE
A PERFORMANCE BOND GUARANTEEING THAT THE
PARADE WILL CLEAR THE BAYSIDE/BAYFRONT PARR
AREA BY 12:00 NOON; FURTHER CONDITIONED UPON
THE ORGANIZERS OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT
THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE
CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI.
