A RESOLUTION WAIVING APPLICABLE DOCKAGE FEES AT THE RATE OF $0.75 PER FOOT PER DAY FOR THE USE OF AVAILABLE SLIPS AT MIAIAMNA, THE BAYSIDE SEAWALL AND AT THE F.E.C. PROPERTY BY PARTICIPANTS IN THE "QUINTO CENTENARIO -- III RUTA DEL DESCUBREMMIENTO" (RACE CE11 RATING THE QUINCEN MIAL OF AM�RICA' S DISC'OVERY ALONG THE ROUTE FRO14 SPAIN) DURING THE PERIOD DECEMBER 15 - 25, 1992; GRARrING PERMISSION TO SAID EVENT' SPONSOR TO PLACE UP TO FIVE (5) BANNERS AT SPECIFIED AVA.CLiRTE LOCATIONS WrIHIN THE CITY OF MUM AND TO PLACE AN AINMISING TRAILER IN BAYFROW PARK; SUBJEC r TO SUCH CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AND BY THE BAYFRONr PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST . BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COtMSSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Applicable dockage fees at the rate of $0.75 per foot per day for the use of available slips at the City's Miamarina, Bayside Seawall and F.E.C. Property are hereby waived for participants in the "Quinto Centenario - III Ruta del Descubriemento" (Race from Spain to Miami along the Discovery Route celebrating the Quincentennial of America's Discovery) during the period December 15 - 25, 1992. Section 2. Permission is hereby granted for said event sponsor to place up to five (5) promotional banners at specified banner locations, as may be available, in Little Havana, Coconut Grove, Downtown, northwest Miami and at the expressway overpass to Key Biscayne, and to place an advertising trailer with banner (mobile billboard) in Bayfront Park near the entrance to Bayside Marketplace or at such location as may be specified by the Executive Director of the Bayfront Park Management Trust. Said authorization and waiver are hereby subject to and contingent upon the sponsor's carrpliance with any and all conditions and/or requiremp_nts that may be prescribed by the Administration of the City of Miami and the Bayfront Park Management Trust. December 18,1992 marks the arrival of the 25 sailboats currently registered and the date in which Miami will become the focal point of this event. I would like to express my pleasure at having Miami be the host of the last commemorative program for THE DISCOVERY in 1992 and I hope that this event will be one of the highlights in the 100th Anniversary of Miami in 1996. I have included a brief report which our Miami representative will present to the City Commission on October 8. It includes the services which we are requesting from the city, as always, keeping in mind City Hall's priorities. I greatly appreciate your interest and the interst of the city of Miami in this great event.
