A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PARTIAL USE OF CERTAIN STREETS AND THOROUGHFARES DURING THE HAITIAN PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION -MARCH COMMEMORATING THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ARISTIDE'S OUSTING AND THE NEED FOR DEMOCRACY IN HAITI ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 1992 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 5:00 P.M. AND 10%00 P.M.; SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO CONTROL TRAFFIC FLOW ON THE STREETS TO BE UTILIZED AS PART OF THE COURSE; CONDITIONED UPON ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the Haitian peaceful demonstration -march commemorating the one year anniversary of Aristide's ousting and the need for democracy in Haiti on Wednesday, September 30, 1992 between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M., the partial use of certain streets and thoroughfares is hereby approved. Section 2. The herein approval is hereby conditioned upon the organizers obtaining the necessary permits from the Departments of Police and Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. CITY CovMSSION, MEETING OF SEP 2 4 1992 Resolution NO. 92- 606 Section 3, The Police Department is hereby authorized to control traffic flow on the streets to be utilized as part of the peaceful demonstration -march, as follows: Fifty-fourth Street from Northwest Seventh Avenue to North- east Second Avenue. Sixty-second Street from Northeast Second Avenue to North- west Seventh Avenue. Northwest Seventh Avenue from Fifty-fourth Street to Sixty-second Street. Northwest Second Avenue from Sixty-second Street to Fifty-fourth Street. Section 4. The herein authorizations are hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all necessary costs of City services and applicable fees associated with said event. Section 5.
