A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF AGILE COURTS, INC., FOR THE RESURFACING OF THREE (3) EXISTING TENNIS COURTS AT KIRK MUNROE PARK FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AT A TOTAL PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $35,500.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, PROJECT NO. 331343; ACCOUNT NO. 589301-860; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAID SERVICE. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received July 15, 1992 for the resurfacing of three (3) existing tennis courts at Kirk Munroe Park for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-four (24) vendors and three (3) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for said purchase are available from the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Project No. 331343, Account No. 589301-860, "Kirk Munroe Park Improvements"; and WHEREAS, said service is needed to resurface three (3) existing tennis courts at Kirk Munroe Park which are in deteriorated condition; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department recommend that the bid received from Agile Courts, Inc., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; CITY COMESSIOH MEETING OF S E P 2 4 1992 Resolution No. 92-- 569 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The July 15, 1992 bid of Agile Court, Inc., for the resurfacing of three (3) existing tennis courts at Kirk Munroe Park for the Department of Parks and Recreation at a total proposed amount of $35,500.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from Capital Improvement Program, Project No. 331343, Account No. 589301-860, "Kirk Munroe Park Improvements". Award is recommended to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Agile Courts, Inc., which is a non -minority firm located within Dade County. This project was initiated under the Citywide Neighborhood Park Renovation Program and is the culmination of extensive community input from neighborhood residents. The City had allocated $39,000 for this purpose.
