A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE MAS GROUP, INC., D/B/A NEFF MACHINERY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIX (6) RUBBISH PICK-UP CRANES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AND SOLID WASTE/FLEET MANAGEMENT DIVISION AT THE TOTAL PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $654,000.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM CAPITAL, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 353010; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS ACQUISITION. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received April 15, 1992 for the furnishing of six (6) rubbish pick-up cranes for the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste/Fleet Management Division; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-five (35) potential suppliers and eleven (11) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available from Capital Improvement Project No. 353010; and WHEREAS, these cranes are needed for the Solid Waste Division operations; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Administrator of the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste/Fleet Management Division recommend that the bid received from The Mas Group, Inc . j d/b/a Neff Machinery; be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI , FLORIDA: FEET Section I. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The April 1.5, 1992 bid of The Mas Group, Inc... d/b/a Neff Machineryrfor the furnishing of six (6) rubbish pick- up cranes to the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste/Fleet Management Division at a total proposed cost of $654,000.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. 353010. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a Purchase Order for this acquisition. Section 4.
