Odio City Manager DATE FILE J419f) SUBJECT Recommendation for Resolution & Award of Bid No. 91-92-056, Replacement Floor Covering REFERENCES ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that an award be made and a resolution be passed accepting the bid of B. Shehadi & Son, a non -minority vendor, located at 11150 Northwest 32nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33167, in the amount of $19,250, for the replacement of the floor covering in the Miami Police Department E-911 Center. The funding source will be the E-911 Fund, Project No. 506001, Index Code 420604-270.Vendor is located in Dade County. On March 3, 1992 an invitation for formal bids was sent to prospective vendors. Six (6) vendors submitted bids and one vendor submitted a "no bid." All Flooring, a non -minority vendor, submitted the lowest bid, however, All Flooring has withdrawn its bid after determining that it did not understand the scope of the work. B. Shehadi & Son, a non -minority vendor, submitted the second lowest bid and met the department's requirements and specifications. Of the remaining four (4) vendors two (2) are non -minorities, one (1) is female, and one (1) is a black vendor. It is therefore recommended that an award of bid be made to B. Shehadi & Son, in the amount of $19,250.
