WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed proposals were received February 12, 1992 for the furnishing of oustodial maintenanoe services to the Miami Police Department North Sub - Station, including Front Parking Lot and Rear Parking Garage, on a contract basis for a period of one (1) year with the option to extend for an additional one (1) year period for the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste/Property Maintenanoe Division; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to ninety-eight (98) _ potential suppliers and twenty-three (23) proposals were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this service are available from the 1992- 93 Operating Budget, Account No. 421001-340; and WHEREAS, said service is needed to provide daily custodial maintenanoe services to the Miami Police Department North Sub - Station, including Front Parking Lot and Rear Parking Garage; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Administrator of the General Services Administration and Solid Waste Department/Property Maintenance Division that the proposal received from After Hours Cleaning Services be accepted as the most responsible and responsive proposal; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The February 12, 1992 proposal of After Hours Cleaning Services for the furnishing of custodial maintenance servioes to the Miami Police Department North Sub -Station, inoluding Front Parking Lot and Rear Parking Garage, for the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste/Property Maintenance Division at a total proposed annual oost of $51,804.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1992-93 Operating Budget, Account No. 421001-340. - -2- 3Z-- 437 Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized`/ to instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a Purchase Order for this service and thereafter to extend this contract, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for an additional one (1) year period at the same price, terms and conditions, subject to the availability of funds. The total annual cost for this service is estimated to be $51,804.00, wherein funds are available from the operating budget of the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste. The Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste has analyzed proposals received pursuant to RFP No. 91-92-034, for the furnishing of custodial maintenance services to the Miami Police Department North Sub -Station, including Front Parking Lot and Rear Parking Garage. A total of twenty-three (23) proposals were received. As a result of the proposal evaluation process, it was determined that After Hours Cleaning Services was the most responsible and responsive proposer meeting all the City's requirements. The total annual cost is $51,804.00, wherein funds are available from the operating budget of the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste.
