HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-92-0400+ J-92-515 n 6/11/92 2- 400 RESOLUTION NO. 9 �a l A RESOLUTION RELATED TO A FATHER'S DAY s CELEBRATION AT DOMINO PARK IN LITTLE HAVANA TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE LITTLE HAVANA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ON JUNE 21., 1992; i AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES; CONDITIONING ALL APPROVALS AND AUTHORIZATIONS HEREIN UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL THE NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY ' SERVICES AND FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE. i; 1 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA% Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the Father's Day Celebration to be conducted by the Little Havana i' Development Authority at Domino Park in Little Havana, -the i following streets are hereby closed to through vehicular traffic I� from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., on Sunday, June 21, 1992 , as specified below: �Southwest Fifteenth Avenue from Southwest Eighth Street � to Southwest Ninth Street. Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues, alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the enumerated areas delineated in this Section. Section 2 . Such closing of streets is subject to the issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and Fire, Rescue CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF a JUN i i 12-92 i10. 92- 400 V 01 and Inspection Services. Said permit from the Department of Police is to be issued upon the full approval of the Chief of Police after giving all due consideration to the safety and traffic needs of residents, businesses and religious institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein. Section 3. The herein approvals and authorizations are hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all necessary costs of City services and applicable fees associated with said event and obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee.
