A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING TWO (2) SURPLUS
POLICE PATROL CARS, AS CATEGORY "B" SURPLUS
STOCK, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
HIS DESIGNEE TO SELL SAME, AFTER THE
EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE RELEASE
DOCUMENTS, TO THE POLICIA NACIONAL DE LA
REPUBLICA DOMINICANA OF THE SISTER CITY OF
SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, AT THE
NEGOTIATED TOTAL PRICE OF $2,000; SAID PATROL
CARS TO BE USED BY THE POLICIA NACIONAL DE LA
REPUBLICA DOMINICANA IN ITS EFFORTS TOWARD
DETERRING CRIME WITH ALL TRANSPORTATION,
PACKING, AND SHIPPING COSTS TO BE BORNE BY
THE SISTER CITY OF SANTO DOMINGO.
WHEREAS, the Policia Nacional de la Republica Dominicana of
the Sister City of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has need of
two (2) police patrol specification cars to assist them in its
efforts toward deterring crime; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has two (2) surplus police patrol
specification cars available for sale to the Sister City of Santo
Domingo Police at a total negotiated price of $2,000, exclusive
of transportation, packing and shipping costs; and
WHEREAS, Section 18-51.4 of the City Code allows for such
negotiated sales of surplus City equipment to Sister Cities; and

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission that the
said two (2) surplus police patrol specification cars be
classified as Category "B" Surplus Stock and sold to the Policia
Nacional de la Republica Dominicana of the Sister City of Santo
Domingo, Dominican Republic, for the total negotiated price of
$2,000, exclusive of transportation, packing and shipping costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. Two (2) surplus police patrol cars are hereby
classified as Category "B" Surplus Stock, as stipulated in

Section 18-51.4(a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended.

Section 3. The City Manager, or his designee, are hereby

authorized to sell to the Policia Nacional de la Republica
Dominicana of the Sister City of Santo Domingo, Dominican
Republic, after the execution of the appropriate release
documents, two (2) surplus police patrol specification cars for

the total negotiated amount of $2,000, with all costs of
transportation, packing and shipping being borne by the Sister
City of Santo Domingo, in accordance with Section 18-51.4(b) of

the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
