A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS
TO SERVE AS MEMBERS ON THE CITY OF MIAMI
URBAN DEVELOPMENT REVIEW BOARD FOR TERMS TO
EXPIRE AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 42762, adopted
September 6, 1971, the City Commission established an Urban
Development Review board, for the purpose of recommending whether
the design of developments and/or improvements within certain
urban zoning districts are in conformance with City guides and
standards; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 10874, adopted
November 30, 1989, as amended, appearing in the City Code as
Sections 62-83 through 62-88, the Urban Development Review Board
shall consist of nine (9) members and one (1) alternate; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 10789, adopted

September 27, 1990, at least five (5) members shall be arohiteots
registered in the State of Florida who have had five (5) years of
experience after registration in the practice of his profession
and four (4) other members shall be either architects or
landscape architects and shall also meet the aforementioned
professional registration and experience criteria;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individuals are hereby appointed
as members of the City of Miami Urban Development Review Board to
serve in their designated positions of office as specified herein
or until their successors are appointed:

Enclosed herein please find a copy of R-92-180 which was passed
and adopted by the City of Miami Commission at its meeting held
on March 12, 1992, reappointing you to serve on the City of Miami
Urban Development Review Board.
Pursuant to Article II, Section 8 of the Florida Constitution
and/or Dade County Ordinance No. 77-13, and the Financial
Disclosure law, Chapter 112.3145, Florida Statutes, as a member
of the Urban Development Review Board, you will be required to
file a Statement of Financial Interests form with the Dade County
Supervisor, Elections Department. Their address is: Metro Dade
Center, 111 N.W. 1st Street, Suite 1910, Miami, Florida 33128-
1993 (Tel: 375-5553).
Also enclosed is a copy of a memorandum from A. Quinn Jones, III,
City Attorney, dated October 22, 1991, outlining some guidelines
to assist members of City Boards and Committees in complying with
the Government in the Sunshine Law.
Also enclosed, for informational purposes, is another memorandum
from the City Attorney, dated October 22, 1991 on legal
requirements concerning Conflict of Interest and Dual Office
Holding circumstances which may prohibit your membership in said
bodies.

It is recommended that the Commission appoint two (2) architects or landscape
architects to vacant positions on the Urban Development Review Board, per the
attached resolution.
BACKGROUND:
The Urban Development Review Board (Sections 62-83 through 62-88, City Code)
assists the Director of the Planning, Building and Zoning Department by making
informed professional recommendations on the architectural, landscape and
urban design aspects of highly visible building projects.
Ordinance No. 10789, adopted September 27, 1990 requires that, of the ten (10)
members, a minimum of five (5) members must be architects and allows the
remaining five (5) members to be either registered architects or landscape
architects. Presently, the Board has seven (7) architects, one (1) landscape
architect and two (2) vacancies, as follows:
