This event is a well organized annual event. The event organizers have met with the Police Department to design the race course so that major thoroughfares remain partially open to vehicular traffic, thereby minimizing traffic disruption in the area of the race. Although part of the Race Course is located in the Coconut Grove Special Events District, the limitations on the number of events in the area do not apply in this case, since the aforementioned event, has been held in the Grove in the past.
