G A RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY CLOSING, VACATING, ABANDONING AND DISCONTINUING THE PUBLIC USE OF THOSE PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST LOTH COURT, NORTHWEST 11TH AVENUE, NORTHWEST 11TH COURT, NORTHWEST 68TH STREET, NORTHWEST 69TH STREET AND THAT EAST -WEST ALLEY LOCATED IN AREA BOUNDED BY NORTHWEST LOTH AND 12TH AVENUES AND NORTHWEST 67TH AND 71ST STREETS, FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT PORTION OF NORTHWEST LOTH COURT, 11TH AVENUE, 11TH COURT, 68TH STREET AND 69TH STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS TRACT A AND B, MIAMI, FLORIDA; SAID ACTION BEING A CONDITION FOR THE APPROVAL OF TENTATIVE PLAT NO. 1414A - "MIAMI NORTHWESTERN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL". WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of January 13, 1992, Item No. 4, duly adopted Resolution ZB 4-92 by a nine to zero (9-0) vote, RECOMMENDING official vacation and closure of those portions of streets as herein set forth; and WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant the vacation and closure of those portions of streets in question and deems it advisable to do so; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Committee concurs with your evaluation that the streets are no longer necessary for traffic circulation In, the neighborhood since the Dade County Schoe! Board will own all properties within the area bounded by N.W. 10 Avenue, N.W. 67 Street, N.W. 12 Avenue and N.W. 71 Street. Additionally, with the exception of N.W. 69 Street, aIi of the streets east and west of the site meet at a "T" Intersection at the boundaries of the present school site. Traffic presently travelling within the school site along N.W. 69 Street must use a circuitous route: N.W. 69 Street, N.W. 10 Court, N.W. 68 Street and N.W. 11 Court. The only traffic light In the vicinity along N.W. 12 Avenue between N.W. 71 Street and N.W. 62 Street Is at N.W. 67 Street, which will remain open. It Is therefore the Committee's recommendation that these aforementioned streets may be vacated and closed as shown on the tentative plat of Northwestern Senior High School. In addition to the above requirements, you should be aware of the following: 1. State and local laws require the Installation of various physical Improvements in the public rights -of -way when property Is platted. These subdivision Improvements Include paving, drainage, landscaping, sidewalks, etc. In some cases this could represent a substantial Investment on your part. 2. The alteration, relocation or Installation of utllltles such as storm and sanitary sewers, electric, telephone, water, etc., caused by this plat will be at the property owner's expense. Also, utility easements may be required on the property being platted. 3. A building permit will not be Issued on the property being platted until the final plat Is recorded.
