HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-92-0083Aftk J-92-200 2/13/92 RESOLUTION NO.9 2 _ 8 6 A RESOLUTION RELATED TO A RELIGIOUS CELEBRATION TO BE CONDUCTED BY CORPUS CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH ON FEBRUARY 26 AND 27, 1992; AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES; FURTHER CONDITIONING ALL APPROVALS AND AUTHORIZATIONS HEREIN UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during a religious celebration to be conducted by Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the following streets are hereby closed to through vehicular traffic from 7:30 P.M. to 11:30 P.M. on February 26 and 27, 1992, as specified below: Northwest Second Avenue from Northwest Thirty -First Street to Northwest Thirty -Second Street. Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues, alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the enumerated areas delineated in this Section. CITE' COM'Ti:'aSSION MEE'TIIo;G OF ;'aa �. E E B 13 1992 RESOLUTION No. 0 VW Section 2. Such closing of streets is subject to State approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. Said permit from the Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the Chief of Police after giving all due consideration to the safety and traffic needs of residents, businesses, and religious institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said arterials and upon the favorable exercise of the City Manager's judgement predicated upon all factors set forth herein. Section 3. The herein authorizations are hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all necessary costs of City services and fees associated with said event and obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this _ 13th day of February , 1992.
