A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
ENGAGE THE LAW FIRM OF MCCRARY, BLIZZARD AND
MOSLEY TO PREPARE THE CONDOMINIUM DOCUMENTS,
CLOSING DOCUMENTS, AND ISSUE TITLE POLICIES
FOR THE TWENTY-THREE (23) UNIT SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINIUM DEVELOPMENT FOR
MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES FOR THE ST. HUGH
OAKS PROJECT, FOR ATTORNEY'S FEE NOT TO
EXCEED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($25,000.00), WITH FUNDS THEREFOR BEING
ALLOCATED FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
PROJECT NO. 321034, ENTITLED "THE SCATTERED
SITE AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM".
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 86-840, the Miami City
Commission approved the implementation of a City -sponsored
Scattered Site Affordable Homeownersh
ip Development Program for
the purpose of facilitating the production of sales housing in
the City within the affordability range of qualified low and
moderate income purchasers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami serving as developer intends to
develop a twenty-three (23) unit single family residential
condominium development for moderate income families on the
City -owned St. Hugh Oaks property; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 718, Florida Statutes, as amended, sets
forth the procedures for the creation, sale and operation of
condominiums; and

WHEREAS, the law firm of McCrary, Blizzard and Mosley has
the legal expertise to prepare the condominium documents as
required by State law; and
WHEREAS, the Law Department customarily engages outside
counsel to prepare closing documents and to issue title policies
for real estate transactions involving the sale of City -owned
properties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. The City Attorney is hereby authorized to
engage the law firm of McCrary, Blizzard and Mosley to prepare
the condominium documents, closing documents and issue title
policies for the twenty-three (23) unit single family
residential condominium development for moderate income families
for the St. Hugh Oaks project for attorney's fee not to exceed
Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), with funds therefor
allocated from Capital Improvement Program Project No. 321034,
entitled "The Scattered Site Affordable Housing Development
Program".

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
