Odio City Manager RECOMMENDATION: Resolution Allocating SursJECT $5,580 to the Christian Community Service Agency, Inc. REFERENCES City Commission Agenda EWLOSURES February 13, 1992 It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution which allocates $5,580 from 17th Year Community Development Block Grant Funds to the Christian Community Service Agency, Inc. to provide a social services program to City residents and further authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with said agency in a form acceptable to the City Attorney. BACKGROUND: The Department of Community Development has prepared the appropriate legislation to allocate $5,580 to the Christian Community Service Agency, Inc. to support this agency's delivery of needed social services to residents of the City of Miami. Federal regulations limit the amount of C.D. funds which may be allocated to public services programs to 15% of the total C.D. grant. To date, the City Commission has allocated $1,886,370 of the $1,891,950 available for public services, leaving an uncommitted balance of $5,580 to meet the cap. It is recommended that this balance be allocated to the Christian Community Service Agency, Inc. to support this agency's delivery of social services to City residents. The proposed resolution effectuates the aforementioned action by allocating $5,580 from 17th Year Community Development Block Grant Funds to the Christian Community Service Agency, Inc. and further authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with said agency in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
