A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE EXTENSION OF THE EXISTING CONTRACT FOR PRESSURE CLEANING SERVICES TO MANOLO HORTA PAINTING APPROVED ORIGINALLY ON RESOLUTION NO. 91-01, BID NO. 90-91-026, TO PROVIDE PRESSURE CLEANING SERVICES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CITY'S RESIDENTIAL PAINT PROGRAM FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIOD FOR A TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $13,000.00 WITH FUNDS ALLOCATED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ELEVENTH (11TH) YEAR FUNDS, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 451149- 670, PROJECT NO. 799209; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS SERVICE. WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of Community Development for the purpose of continuing to provide pressure cleaning services to qualified applicants in conjunction with the City's Residential Paint Program; and WHEREAS, funds for this -service- are available from the Department of Community Development Eleventh (llth) Year Funds, Account Code No. 451149-670, Project No. 799209; and WHEREAS, this contract was originally approved on Resolution No. 91-01 on January 10, 1991, Bid No. 90-91-026; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Community Development recommend that the extension for an additional one (1) year period for pressure cleaning services provided by Manolo Horta Painting be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: C= COMMIOM Ka -MG OF JAN 9 199Z 9 2 -- 2 SI Section 1. The recitals and findin contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The extension of the existing contract from Manolo Horta Painting approved originally on Resolution No. 91- 01, Bid No. 90-91-026,to provide pressure cleaning services for the Department of Community Development at a total proposed cost of $13,000.00 is hereby approved with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Department of Community Development Eleventh (llth) Year Funds, Account Code No. 451149-670, Project No. 799209. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a Purchase Order for this service. Section 4. This contract extension is to Manolo Horta Painting, 1428 SW llth Terrace, a minority/local vendor with the lowest bid. - This contract extension is necessary in order to continue to provide pressure cleaning service to qualified applicants in conjunction with the City's Residential Paint Program. The total cost of this bid was $15,000.00, with remaining balance of $13,000.00. Through the paint program the City provides pressure cleaning services, paint, and paint supplies to qualified City of Miami home -owners. It is recommended that a contract extension be granted to Manolo Horta Painting, 1428 SW llth Terrace, a minority/local vendor, in accordance with Bid No. 90-91-026.
