AMADA (Artists & Musicians Against Drugs & Abuse) is a not•for-profit organization that had scheduled a fund raising concert at Bayfront Park on 17 October. Due to the hurricane, several major sponsors were forced to focus on other activities.. leaving AMADA financially obligated for nearly . $8,000.00 in bills. - This will cripple AMADA, perhaps even force the organization into bankruptcy. We want to hold the concert in January, and request a grant for $7,500.00 to allow us to take care of our obligations and begin preparations for-fhe future event. 4 DCT 26 ' 92 16 s 47 -A M A D A AMA A Musidens Agoinet Drugs & Abuse Care For Our Children Covent Budget Entertainers 10,000.00 Technical Rider, Group Accommodation and Transportation 5,000.00 Production: sound, lighting, stage hands 14,600.00 License Fees: liquor and vendor 425.00 Liability Insurance: spectator, combined and agr4gate 2,500.00 Security: t-shirt purchase & printing 1,250.00 Police: City of Miami, required 1,600.00 Fire: City of Miami, required 1 t600.00 Medical: rescue vehicle/ambulance & paramedics, required 1,300.00 Venue: City - electrical, required 600.00 Venue Rental: Bayfront Pork 6,600.00 Clean-ups -City, required 400.00 Dornage/loss Contingency - refunded after event 500.00 Vendor Tent Rental (each) 77.50 Solid Waste Fes: County 120.00 Promotion: mdio, TV, print, direct mail 100000.00 Communication phones, fax, fwo-way radios 1,200.00 Total $57,165.00 4 CAMADA0 ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS AGAINST DRUGS & ABUSE 2875 Northeast 191 st.
