ArNsh & Musidans Against Mugs & Abuw
27 October 92
Mr. Cesar Odio, City Manager
City of Miami
3500 Pan American Drive
Miami, FL 33133
Dear Mr. Odio:
I would like to be placed on the agenda for the 12 November city commission
meeting.
AMADA (Artists & Musicians Against Drugs & Abuse) is a not•for-profit
organization that had scheduled a fund raising concert at Bayfront Park on 17
October. Due to the hurricane, several major sponsors were forced to focus on
other activities.. leaving AMADA financially obligated for nearly . $8,000.00 in
bills. -
This will cripple AMADA, perhaps even force the organization into bankruptcy.
We want to hold the concert in January, and request a grant for $7,500.00 to
allow us to take care of our obligations and begin preparations for-fhe future
event.
