OAK COUNTY TRANSP. No Comment.
ENFORCEMENT HISTORY No Comment.
HISTORY' Lighthouse for the Blind has been located on the subject property since
approximately 1938 and in previous toning ordinances was included as an
eleemosynary use in residential districts. After 1963, Zoning Ordinances 9500 and
11000 have presented increasing restrictions an non-residential activities in
residential Zoning.districts.
ANALYSIS The existing facility is a Miami institution and it is surrounded by single family,
duplex and multi -family residential uses except at the north s-de where there is a
non -conforming use. Granting this request will allow Lighthouse for the Blind to
expand and conduct training activities now precluded by the 0-3 Zoning.
ZOff=G BOARD At its seating of !larch 16, 1992, the Zoning Board adopted
Rasolution No. ZZ 24-92, by a vote of ", recommending
approval of the above.
CITY COMMISSION At its meeting of April 30, 1992, the City Commission passed
the above on First Reading.
