RESOLUTION NO. _93 - 757
A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE "1994 PIG BOWL
GAME" TO BE HELD AT THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM
ON JANUARY 29, 1994; WAIVING ALL WAIVABLE
USER FEES FOR THE USE OF SAID FACILITIES
CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING ALL
OTHER COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE
FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT.
WHEREAS, the Pig Bowl Game has been held at the Orange Bowl
for the previous four (4) consecutive years and all waivable fees
related to the use of the Orange Bowl have been waived by the
City; and
WHEREAS, Pig Bowl, Inc., has donated in excess of $600,000
from the proceeds of the all the Pig Bowl Games to various local
charities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. All waivable user fees for the use of the
Orange Bowl Stadium related to the 1994 Pig Bowl Game to be held
at said Stadium on January 29, 1994, are hereby waived.

Section 2. Said waiver is hereby conditioned upon the
organizers paying all other costs of City services and applicable
fees associated with said event.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

SUBJECT: Resolution Waiving Fees For
The Use Of The Orange Bowl

It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission waive all
pertinent fees related to the use of the Orange Bowl in
connection with the Pig Bowl Charity Football Game.
The Miami Police Department, along with the Metropolitan Dade
County Police Department, and several other municipal departments
throughout Dade County, are continuing their efforts to assist
the needy members or our community by sponsoring this year's llth
annual Police Charity Football Game. To date the game has raised
in excess of $600,000 for various local charities. This year's
game will feature the Metro -Miami Magnum Force v. the Los Angeles
Centurions, on January 29, 1994. To insure adequate seating for
the anticipated 40,000+ fans, and maximize proceeds for the
selected charities, the Pig Bowl Charity Fund, Inc., is
requesting that all fees be waived by the Orange Bowl in
connection with the game.
