RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AMENDING
SECTION 2 OF RESOLUTION NO. 93-656, ADOPTED
OCTOBER 14, 1993 RELATING TO THE FUNDING OF
TWENTY-THREE (23) SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES FOR
THE PERIOD ENDING MARCH 31, 1994, THEREBY
EXTENDING SAID FUNDING TO THE PERIOD ENDING
JUNE 30, 1994; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE AMENDMENTS, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE
ATTACHED FORM, TO EXISTING AGREEMENTS WITH
SAID AGENCIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING
AND CONTINUING SOCIAL SERVICE PROJECTS,
SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS CONTAINED HEREIN;
ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE NINETEENTH
(19TH) YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 2 of Resolution No. 93-656, adopted
October 14, 1993, is hereby amended in the following
particulars: I/
"Section 2. The City Manager is hereby
authorizedlt to execute amendments, in a—forlit
substantially the
attached form, with the following twenty-three (23)
Social Service Agencies, for the period ending
June 30. 1994, in amounts as specified
herein, to continue implementation of social service

AMENDMENT #2
(Social Service Agency)
This Amendment is entered into as of this day of
1993, amending the Agreement dated of
1993, between the City of Miami, a municipal
corporation of the State of Florida ("CITY") and
, a Florida not for profit corporation
("CONTRACTOR").
WHEREAS, on October 14, 1993, the City Commission adopted
Resolution No. 93-659, which approved an allocation of 19th Year
Community Development Block Grant Funds for the CONTRACTOR;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by the CITY and the CONTRACTOR:
1. The recitals set forth above are hereby incorporated
herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
2. Section 4.1 COMPENSATION of the Agreement is amended as
follows;
CITY shall pay CONTRACTOR, a maximum compensation for the
services required pursuant to Article II hereof, $
3. No extensions or amendments to the Agreement shall be
binding on either party unless in writing and signed by both
parties.
4. All the terms and conditions contained in the Agreement
as Amended shall remain in full force and effect without
modification except to the extent modified in this Amendment.
5. CONTRACTOR certifies that it possesses the legal
authority to enter into this Amendment by way of a resolution,
motion, or similar action that has been duly adopted or passed as

an official act of the CONTRACTOR's governing body, authorizing
the execution of the Amendment, including understanding and
assurances contained herein, and directing and authorizing the
person identified as the official representative of the
CONTRACTOR to act in connection with the Amendment.
WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
instrument to be executed by the respective officials thereunto
duly authorized on the first date above written.

On May 13, 1993, the City Commission adopted Resolution 93-311.1
which authorized the City Manager to include approved public services
programs on the Final Statement of Community Development Objectives
and Projected Use of Funds for the 19th Year to the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (USHUD). The Department of
Community Development has submitted the final statement to USHUD.
Subsequent to that meeting, the City Commission adopted Resolution
93-461 at its meeting of July 8, 1993 which authorized the City
Manager to enter into agreements with approved social service
agencies and provided funding for a two (2) month period. At its
meeting of September 7, 1993 the City Commission adopted Resolution
93-538 which provided another one month allocation to approved social
services agencies. As a result of the aforementioned legislation,
the following agencies have received allocations for the first
quarter (three (3) months) of the 19th C.D. Year:
